My education started out at UMHB, where I spent a year there learning about college, and what I wanted to actually do.  After a year, I moved back home and attended SHSU and Blinn to get my basics out of the way.  From there I transferred to UH-D where I completed my BS degree in Interdisiplinary Studies with a minor in Psychology.  That same year I took the fast track Alternative teacher certification program through A+ Texas Teacher's, and received my probationary certificate. This last year, I completed my probationary year, and received my Standard teaching certificate.

This will be my second year of actual teaching in my own classroom.  I taught last year in Mathis, and am blessed to now be a Calallen Wildcat!  I taught many years as a substitute (about 10), mainly in the Jr. High and High School setting, as well as SPED classes.

Hello, and welcome to English II!!  My name is Elizabeth Cunningham, and I am a new teacher here at Calallen HS.  I am married to my husband Ray, and have 3 beautiful children; Kyleigh (9th grade), Brayleigh (Kinder), and Beckett (PK3).  We live here in Calallen, but have only been in South Texas for just over a year.  We moved from Montgomery, TX (Lake Conroe area), where I grew up and went to school.  It is quite the change of scenery (from golf courses to cotton fields), but we are adjusting quite well!

We decided to move down this way to be close to my sister and her family (in Bishop), as well as to my parents who recently moved to Alice.  Now our whole family is in South TX!  My kids keep us pretty busy, we show pigs all year round, and truly enjoy the stockshow life!  Some of my hobbies are working out, participating in our lady's group at church, and being involved in anything my kids are doing.  I am a coffee snob, so I am extremely excited about the new Starbucks across the road!

I am truly excited to be here, and to be a part of this wonderful campus.  I'm definitley looking forward to a great year in our classroom, and know it will be a successful one! Go Wildcats!
